Hazen Announces Ben Romero as Sacramento Operations Manager
Mr. Romero has more than 23 years of experience in the planning, design, and construction of multidisciplinary infrastructure projects, and he has successfully delivered projects for public agencies throughout California, Utah, and Colorado.
(LOS ANGELES, CA) - Hazen and Sawyer announced today the appointment of Ben Romero, PE, as Vice President and Operations Manager for the Firm’s Sacramento, California Office.
Mr. Romero has more than 23 years of experience in the planning, design, and construction of multidisciplinary infrastructure projects, with an emphasis on large diameter water conveyance projects. Mr. Romero has successfully delivered projects for City of Sacramento, Sacramento County, City of Santa Rosa, City of Tracy, City of San Francisco Public Utilities Commission, and many other public agencies throughout California, Utah, and Colorado. He has a broad background which not only includes leading water and wastewater pipeline planning, design, and construction projects but also encompasses infrastructure asset, condition assessment, and corrosion evaluation projects.
Mr. Romero will lead operations in Sacramento while providing technical and business vision for Hazen’s conveyance practice throughout the West.

From assisting agencies with infrastructure related asset management, to conducting pipeline condition assessment and planning studies, to participating in and leading challenging conveyance projects, to serving as the lead project manager for multiple large design projects, Mr. Romero has a strong foundation in project delivery and knows how to help clients navigate through the most challenging project issues successfully.
Mr. Romero received a BS degree in Civil Engineering from the University of California at Davis. He is also an active member of several industry associations, including APWA.
