Join Hazen Experts at WEFTEC 2024
(RALEIGH, NC – September 23, 2024) - Hazen experts will conduct 36 workshops, moderated panels, and technical sessions at WEFTEC 2024, being held October 5-9, 2024 in New Orleans, LA.
Our presentations will delve into innovative strategies and tools for a variety of water quality topics, from densified activated sludge (DAS), to deammonification via Partial Nitrification-Denitrification-Anammox (also known as PANDA), to climate adaptation to overcome stormwater inundation.
Hazen staff will speak at or facilitate several workshop sessions, which are in-depth, interactive learning experiences. Among the workshop highlights is a session on how Carbon-Based Advanced Treatment (CBAT) offers exciting new possibilities for integrating wastewater into a potable reuse application. This workshop will offer attendees the background of CBAT, the known (and unknown) potential of CBAT, and a discussion of a full-scale CBAT application.
A paper co-authored by six Hazen experts will also receive the prestigious Gascoigne Wastewater Treatment Plant Operational Improvement Medal as part of the WEF Awards Ceremony on October 7th.
Related content: Two innovative nutrient removal pilots—one using densified activated sludge and one using a process called PANDA—have shown the potential to unlock significant savings for nutrient removal facilities.
