Join Hazen Experts at WQTC 2024
(CINCINNATI, OH – November 11, 2024) - Hazen experts will conduct 12 technical sessions, present two posters, and moderate several sessions at the upcoming 2024 Water Quality Technology Conference (WQTC), being held Nov. 17-21 in Schaumburg, IL.
Our leading experts from across the country will present insights on a variety of water quality topics, including proactive management of harmful algal blooms, using data analytics and machine learning to optimize operations and assess assets, preparing for lead and copper rule improvements, innovative PFAS treatment strategies, the possibility that lithium is the next contaminant of emerging concern in drinking water regulations, and more.
A highlight of this year’s conference is the presentation of the Emerald Erlenmeyer Award to Hazen Senior Principal Engineer Javad Roostaei. The Emerald Erlenmeyer award recognizes a committee member, committee chair, former Division trustee or former Division chair for sustained service or contributions to the Division or demonstrated creativity, initiative and dedication to the work of the American Water Works Association (AWWA) Water Science & Research Division.
One of several events organized annually by the AWWA, WQTC provides a forum for industry professionals to exchange the latest research, information, and lab techniques to address water quality problems, treatment processes, new regulations, and emerging issues. Hazen looks forward to this year’s event and the opportunity to contribute unique and constructive approaches to address the most challenging drinking water problems facing the industry.
