Meg Roberts Appointed AWWA Division Trustee
(RALEIGH, NC) - Meg Roberts was recently appointed a Trustee of the Water Quality & Technology Division of the American Water Works Association (AWWA).
Ms. Roberts will serve a three year term that began in June 2016. Her role will include supporting program development for the AWWA Water Quality and Technology Conference and other AWWA conferences and symposia related to water quality. She will also be working closely with two division committees as the assigned liaison and coordinating committee activities for published works. Her two committees are the Distribution System Water Quality Committee and the Inorganics Committee.
The mission of the Water Quality & Technology Division is to advance and disseminate knowledge related to achieving the highest-quality water for all municipal purposes by (1) investigating the physical, chemical, biological, and microbiological contaminants that affect the quality of water and its suitability for use (2) developing monitoring systems and laboratory measurement methods of water quality form the source to the consumer’s tap, and (3) promoting the use of new technology and evaluating alternative methods of water treatment to find those that are most effective and economical to use.
