Phill Yi Named WEF Outstanding Young Water Environment Professional

(NEW YORK, NY - September 26, 2019) - Hazen's Phill Yi was recently named the Water Environment Federation (WEF) Outstanding Young Water Environment Professional at WEFTEC 2019.
Phill, an Associate in Hazen's Fairfax office, is President-Elect of the Virginia Water Environment Association. He has contributed to the improvement of knowledge in the water profession through technical presentations and publications and is frequently published and consulted. Phill actively mentors and engages students and young professionals and he is a 2016 graduate of WEF’s Water Leadership Institute and served as an advisor the following year. Phill was inducted into the Virginia Select Society of Sanitary Sludge Shovelers in 2016, an honor rarely given to a young professional early in their career.
The WEF Awards are given to individuals and organizations that have made outstanding contributions to the sustainability of water resources and made a profound impact on the future of the water profession. The Outstanding Young Water Environment Professional award recognizes the contributions of young water environment professionals for significant contributions to WEF and to the wastewater collection and treatment industry.
