Carlyn Higgins, PhD, PE
Principal Engineer
Carlyn's work is focused on advanced drinking water treatment technologies. She has served in lead roles in field operations and water quality and data analysis for numerous facilities, including dissolved air flotation (DAF), dual media filtration (DMF), membrane filtration (MF), reverse osmosis (RO), and ultraviolet light advanced oxidation pilot tests (UV/AOP). Other areas of expertise include the conceptual cost analysis of water treatment facilities, water treatment selection feasibility studies, and data management of existing facilities using dashboard programs such as Power BI. For the Plant City Water project, Carlyn not only led the One Water Demonstration Facility pilot to develop potable reuse solutions, but was also involved in public education outreach and operator training.
