Guillermo has decades of experience as a team leader and project director for water resources projects in Florida, Puerto Rico, and South America. His technical responsibilities have included hydrologic and hydraulic analysis and modeling, evaluating flood mitigation strategies, analyzing and designing urban drainage systems, studying groundwater and surface water interaction, evaluating sea level rise effects, and conducting vulnerability assessments. Guillermo has managed conveyance analyses of major surface water systems throughout Florida, including the Broward County surface water system, and operational modeling of surface water systems to support the Broward County Water Preserve Areas and the operation of the Kissimmee Basin’s portion of the Central and Southern Florida Flood Control Project.
