Kati applies her extensive expertise in reuse, biosolids, emerging contaminants, and applied research to deliver projects for Hazen clients across the U.S. and abroad. Over the course of her career, she has introduced innovative technologies to the U.S. market, including the first implementation of peracetic acid disinfection at a major municipal wastewater treatment plant. Kati actively engages in and supports water industry research with an emphasis on emerging contaminants, including PFAS. She has also led the development of industry guidance, including the 2012 EPA Guidelines for Water Reuse, the follow-on 2017 EPA Potable Reuse Compendium, and the IUVA/WEF Guidance for UV Disinfection.
