Little River Dam and Reservoir
Hazen and Sawyer has long supported the City of Durham with its water supply, beginning with a 1974 study proposing development of the Little River Dam and Reservoir. Completed in 1988, the Little River Reservoir now supplies approximately half of the City’s water.
Hazen provided comprehensive engineering services from initial studies through design, environmental permitting, construction administration, and operation and maintenance for the dam and reservoir.
Project Outcomes and Benefits
